Drought Planning & Water Shortage Policy

Drought Planning and Water Shortage Policy 2025

Even though we are not currently in a drought, Clear Creek Community Services District has created a Drought Planning and Water Shortage Plan to ensure we are prepared for the future.

California’s climate can change quickly, and droughts are a recurring part of our state’s history. By planning ahead, we are taking proactive steps to protect our community, our water supply, and our environment.

This plan is not a sign of current shortages—it’s about responsible stewardship. Just like families plan ahead with savings or emergency supplies, we are making sure that when dry years return, we can respond quickly, fairly, and effectively.

Our goal is simple: to safeguard the community we serve. By preparing now, we can minimize impacts to homes, businesses, and public safety if water supplies ever become strained. This is part of our ongoing commitment to do what is best for our community, today and for future generations.
