Job Opportunity:  Seeking to fill any Water Distribution Operator Position(s) (D2 and Higher Preferred)

About the Clear Creek Community Services District (CCCSD)

The Clear Creek Community Services District, established in 1963, is a California Special District located in southern Shasta County, Northern California. Covering 21,670 acres of agricultural, rural, and suburban land, CCCSD serves approximately 9,000 customers through 2,252 service connections. The District operates and maintains a 33 MGD Water Treatment Plant, supplying drinking water to its customers and a neighboring water district.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

Experience:

  • Desirable experience includes working with the installation, maintenance, and repair of water services systems and meters, plumbing, heavy equipment, underground utilities, or construction.
  • Preferred experience includes working for public agencies, water districts, or municipalities with a State Water Resources Control Board Certification (SWRCB).

Certifications:

  • Minimum certification requirements:
    • Distribution Operator 1: SWRCB-D1 and SWRCB-T1
    • Distribution Operator 2: SWRCB-D2 and SWRCB-T2
    • Distribution Operator 3: SWRCB-D3 and SWRCB-T2
    • Distribution & Treatment Operator D3/T3: SWRCB-D3 and SWRCB-T3

Education:

  • Education or training in water systems, electrical, or computers is desirable.

Compensation Package:

Salary:

  • Distribution Operator 1: Starting at $25.55/hr. Range: $25.55/hr to $28.47/hr
  • Distribution Operator 2: Starting at $29.28/hr. Range: $29.28/hr to $32.62/hr
  • Distribution Operator 3: Starting at $33.74/hr. Range: $33.74/hr to $37.58/hr
  • Distribution & Treatment Operator D3/T3: Starting at $36.10/hr. Range: $36.10/hr to $40.22/hr

  • Retirement membership in the CalPERS miscellaneous retirement plan PEPRA 2% at 62.

  • Vacation time: 3.08 hours per pay period (2 weeks/year).
  • Sick leave accrual: 4 hours per pay period.
